When you’re tired and hungry you crave ‘easy energy’. Sugar, processed carbohydrates & convenience.
It makes sense. You can’t be bothered to cook and your body can’t be bothered to break down anything ‘complex’.
Craving the quick fix.
The irony is that none of us feel full of energetic sitting there after eating a full pizza!
Now the ‘energy’ is going towards digesting the dam food!
So now we’re tired, lethargic & regretting our food choices.
Not really what we were after when those cravings came knocking!
It’s funny how it works like that the opposite tends to work the best.
Reach for coffee all day long – afternoon crash and can’t sleep
Sleep over 10 hrs. – feel flat and sluggish
Eat too much for ‘energy’ – food coma
Keys for energy?

Movement
-
Turn ‘on’ our parasympathetic nervous system more often
Don’t be scared of periods of fasting here and there either. Especially if means you can avoid the after-sugar regrets later on.
On that note can you please stop buying the sour patch kids – You know who are! haha
