Yet I bet a few of you still feel a little, let’s say iffy about this macronutrient.
I know I sure was for a long time.
Here’s the deal. They CAN lead to over consumption.
We all know how easy it is to throw down a little too much! Particularly processed crap that lacks the water & fiber.
Assuming you’re already avoiding the highly processed rubbish on the whole.
Do we still need to fear them?
Well, I read this the other day and for me it hit the nail on the head.
Carbs are fuel, not decoration.
If you train, eat carbs.
If you sit all day, earn them.
There are nuances for individual needs such as diabetes or specific athletic performance.
But on the whole this rule is one that should stick.
